About Al Moammar Information Systems

Al Moammar Information Systems, known as MIS, is a Riyadh-based information technology company. Saudipedia describes it as a joint-stock company and the first Saudi joint-stock company listed in the information technology sector on the Saudi Exchange. Its services cover security, networks, data management, geospatial (GIS) systems, and operations and maintenance, together with hardware and software infrastructure. Gulfbase lists branches in Jeddah and Al-Khobar, Khalid A. Al-Moammar as chairman and Dr. Abdullah G. Al-Ghamdi as chief executive. Directory profiles put the workforce at about 700 to 740 people. Sources differ on the founding year, with most pointing to 1979. In recent years MIS has moved from integration work toward building and operating data centres. In October 2025 a bourse filing reported a SAR 98.04 million contract with the Saudi Data and AI Authority (SDAIA) to supply IT products and services. The larger shift came with HUMAIN, the PIF-backed AI company. MIS won a design-and-build contract for a private AI data centre for HUMAIN, awarded in December 2025 and signed on 4 March 2026, valued at about SAR 1.88 billion (roughly USD 500 million) over a 12-month term. A later agreement reportedly raised planned capacity to 250 megawatts, valued at nearly SAR 8.76 billion (about USD 2.3 billion), according to one report; MIS said the agreement exceeded 689 percent of its 2025 revenue. Other reports differ on how the awards are structured and valued. DatacenterDynamics reported that MIS signed a memorandum of understanding with Saudi Data Center 1 to study three new data centres in Riyadh, Jeddah and Dammam with a combined 48 MW of capacity, and that in 2024 MIS signed a deal to expand a data-centre fund's capacity by up to 64 MW, valued at up to SAR 2.5 billion. On the second day of LEAP 2026 in Riyadh, MIS announced a USD 1.2 billion investment to expand its data centres across the Kingdom, with a target of 192 megawatts of capacity, as reported by the Saudi Press Agency and other outlets. The commitment was the largest of that day's announcements, which together totalled about USD 2.5 billion. Announced conference investments are commitments rather than capital already spent, and MIS has not published a construction schedule for the expansion. Ownership structure and revenue beyond the figures cited above are not available in the coverage reviewed.
