About Airspace Industrial Blockchain

Airspace Industrial Blockchain developed a platform for applying blockchain technology to industrial aviation records. Its work focused on the verification and certification processes that accompany aircraft engineering and maintenance, where teams need to establish what work was performed and whether the supporting records can be trusted. The company is based in the United Arab Emirates.

The platform automates task assignment and the issue of certifications for aerospace engineers. By recording work history in a shared digital system, the product is intended to reduce the layers of manual checking required when records are reviewed. Its initial focus was on task-level histories, with aircraft and engine histories identified as potential extensions. The Blockbook product concept applied that approach to validating technical logs used in maintenance operations.

Airspace joined the Mohammed bin Rashid Innovation Fund’s first accelerator cohort in 2019, following its participation in Intelak’s fourth cohort. A government innovation report identifies its founding year as 2018 and records an expansion into Abu Dhabi. The company’s offering connects industrial recordkeeping with the need for reliable maintenance evidence, concentrating on the documentation and audit work around aviation engineering.
