About Agenz

Agenz is a Casablanca-based proptech startup working to digitise Morocco's property market, which TechScoop describes as marked by widely varying valuations, high transaction costs and scattered data held by informal brokers. Most reports say it was founded in 2021 by brothers Malik and Badr Belkeziz, although one June 2026 AllAfrica report gives 2020. Malik Belkeziz is the chief executive. According to Moroccan press accounts, he took on sales to real estate agents while Badr continued to develop the platform.

The platform, available at agenz.ma, goes beyond listings. It offers free online property valuations based on artificial intelligence, market data analytics, lead generation and software for real estate professionals, together with a transaction system for buyers. Agenz launched its transaction service in 2023. Challenge.ma reported at the time of its 2023 funding that the platform had more than 150,000 monthly users and produced about 5,000 new property estimates a month. By May 2026 the company said its website had passed 730,000 monthly visits, which TechScoop says places it among the country's leading property platforms by reach. It competes with Mubawab, the EMPG-owned property marketplace, and smaller data and valuation players.

In July 2023 Agenz raised MAD 13 million, about USD 1.3 million, in a pre-Series A round from Azur Innovation Fund, Maroc Numeric Fund II and Beenok, according to Challenge.ma and Morocco World News. One report also lists Renew Capital as an investor in 2024.

In June 2026 the company announced a USD 5 million seed round, reported as oversubscribed. It was co-led by the Paris-based venture firm Breega, Attijariwafa Ventures, the corporate investment arm of North Africa's largest bank, and the pan-African fund Saviu Ventures, whose earlier investments include Wave and Bizao. Wamda and LaunchBase Africa reported that the round was Breega's first investment in Morocco and Saviu's second. TechScoop notes that Attijariwafa's parent bank operates across 27 African and Middle Eastern markets, which could give Agenz access to mortgage and retail financial services distribution. A monthly funding roundup places the round in June 2026 and notes it lifted Morocco back into fourth place in MENA startup funding that month. The company did not disclose a valuation.

The money is earmarked for team expansion, deeper investment in technology and AI capabilities, new product development, and a move from property data into what the company calls the financial infrastructure of real estate. It also covers groundwork for eventual international expansion, with markets and timelines not yet disclosed. The company has not published headcount or revenue.
