US and China move toward AI safety talks, with AI-directed cyberattacks on the agenda
Reuters reported that Washington and Beijing are preparing a mid-September dialogue devoted to AI safety, with autonomous cyberattacks near the top of the agenda. A White House official said no such meeting is currently planned, so the first thing to establish is whether the talks exist.
