The Utopia Studio is an AI-native venture builder based in Doha, Qatar, and part of Utopia Capital Management, which calls Doha its new base. It was announced at MWC Doha in November 2025 and is described there as Qatar's first AI-focused venture studio. DealStreetAsia reported in December 2025 that it operates under Utopia's integrated platform alongside The Radical Fund and A-typical Ventures.
At the announcement, Alina Truhina, co-founding partner of Utopia, and Karan Pinto, studio director, were named as leaders. The studio said it had more than 12 full-time specialists in product, technology and artificial intelligence, commercial growth and operations. Qatar Development Bank is a partner and works with the studio to attract local and international founders and talent.
The studio works with founders on new ventures and on restructuring existing start-ups. It sets out a five-year goal of developing 140 venture concepts and supporting more than 50 ventures from pre-seed to Series A across the Global South. It organises its work into three groups, called pods: digital infrastructure, industry experts and sovereignty. Its technology layer, UTOPIA OS, is a modular AI stack that Utopia says can take a venture from concept to Series A in under 24 months, a company claim.
The studio draws on Utopia's A-typical Ventures fund for the Middle East and The Radical Fund for Southeast Asia. A-typical Ventures was announced at Web Summit in February 2025 with backing from the Qatar Investment Authority and Qatar Development Bank, and invests in pre-seed to pre-Series A founders across the GCC, Levant, Pakistan and Turkiye.
A TechScoop article from July 2026 says Azraq, an AI risk platform, was co-built through The Utopia Studio and closed an oversubscribed pre-seed round led by A-typical Ventures.
