About stc البحرين

stc Bahrain is a mobile and fixed telecommunications operator in Bahrain and a subsidiary of stc Group, the Saudi telecom company. Its website lists prepaid, postpaid, family, 5G home, fibre and data-only plans, device sales, eSIM purchase, device and car insurance, and the mystc BH app for paying bills and managing lines.

The company launched in 2010 as VIVA Bahrain. In December 2019 it changed its corporate identity to stc Bahrain, in step with the group's new brand. Its rebrand release states that it has invested 700 million Bahraini dinars in infrastructure and resources since launch, that it was the first local operator to offer broadband speeds of up to 42 Mbps, that it launched stc pay in 2018, and that it launched what it describes as the first 5G network in the kingdom. These figures are company statements.

Khalid Al Osaimi is chief executive; a March 2026 company release shows him visiting retail branches and operational teams after Eid Al Fitr. Moaeed Al Saloom chairs the board. The senior management team on the company's site also includes Karim Tabbouche as chief consumer officer, Ahmed Aljawder as chief finance officer, Ahmed Alsharif as chief technology and digital officer, Fahad Alowaini as chief human resources officer and Hesham Mustafa as chief business officer.

In September 2026, at LEAP in Riyadh, stc Bahrain signed an agreement with Saudi start-up Velents to offer an exclusive bundle of agentic AI tools to Bahraini businesses through its enterprise channel. Contract value and a go-live date were not disclosed, according to TechScoop. The company's media centre lists four items from October 2026: a CHRO of the Year award for Alowaini at the HRM Summit Awards 2026, a Best Data Service Innovation award at the Global Connectivity Awards 2026 for its SmartVenue Insights platform, a claim to be first in the Middle East to launch Firebase Phone Number Verification with Telenor Linx, and a partnership with ila Bank on travel connectivity offers in the rova app. No financial results were found in the sources read.
