About رايم
RIME is a Saudi company that sells a software platform for running AI agents inside physical sites such as shops, restaurants, bank branches and service centres. The platform links cameras and sensors already installed at a site to AI models that process the data locally, using edge computing and the artificial intelligence of things (AIoT), so that monitoring, alerts and tasks are generated on site rather than in a remote data centre. RIME says the software is designed and developed in-house in Saudi Arabia.
The company was founded in Riyadh in 2024 by Mohammed Almarshidi and Aref AlOtaibi, who are described as co-founders in coverage of its funding, and is registered as RAEM for Artificial Intelligence, a simplified joint stock company.
Its website lists modules including RIME Brain, which joins a branch's existing cameras and sensors, Reasoning Core, which links camera observations to sales, staff rota and sensor data, Branch Memory, a searchable record of events, and Living Commands, which turns plain-language instructions into rules and scheduled checks. Customers named on the site include Patchi, Shawarma Classic, Theeb Rent a Car, Abyat, Al Faleh and Aani & Dani.
RIME said in August 2026 that its platform connected more than 6,000 cameras to AI agents across about 2,000 operational sites for retail and service chains in the GCC, and its website shows more than 6,024 active cameras. Under the heading Registered and Compliant, the site displays the logos of the National Data Governance Platform, the Saudi Data and AI Authority, the Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority and Aramco's Cybersecurity Compliance Certificate.
In August 2026 RIME announced a seed round of more than $2 million led by Seedra Ventures, which had also led an earlier pre-seed round of undisclosed size, with Athlah Investment, Unity Invest Partners and angel investors taking part. It said the money would go towards growth in Saudi Arabia, platform development and enterprise AI deployments.
As of those August 2026 reports, RIME is a seed-stage company focused on the Saudi market, with expansion across the GCC as a stated aim.
