About ريلا
Rela is a Saudi proptech startup that provides licensed workforce accommodation through a technology platform. It was launched in early 2026 by Salman Al Jabrain, and one outlet spells the founder's surname Aljabrin. The company positions itself between two groups. On one side are property owners, developers and investors with buildings that can be used as staff housing. On the other are employers that need to house large workforces, including firms in contracting, operations and maintenance, logistics, industry, hospitality and retail, as well as large projects that draw big labour pools. Rela's offer combines licensed accommodation with property management, operations and maintenance, and it also arranges transport and catering. Bookings, occupancy, worker allocation and operating data are held on a single system. The market it targets is shaped by regulation. One report on the deal said the Ministry of Municipalities and Housing has issued 1,360 collective housing licences, and that establishments with 20 or more workers must either provide licensed housing or contract for it. In September 2026 Rela announced that Yazeed Al Rajhi and Brothers Holding had joined as an investor and strategic partner. The size of the investment and the stake taken were not disclosed. Coverage described the deal as coming only months after Rela began operations. The company said it plans to use the partnership to expand its network of workforce housing properties and residential complexes across Saudi Arabia, and to put more licensed beds on its platform. Rela operates both as a marketplace that connects supply and demand and as an operator that runs the accommodation itself. No bed count, city list, named corporate client or occupancy figure has been published.
