The Ministry of Commerce and Industry is the Qatari government ministry responsible for trade and industrial activity. According to Wikipedia, it regulates trade and industry in Qatar, works to ensure fair trade and competition, and acts against fraudulent and monopolistic practices. Its website lists consumer protection and prices, business registration and licensing, investment promotion and trade among its services.

The ministry took its present form in 2019, when it replaced the Ministry of Economy and Commerce during a government restructuring. In January 2025 it launched a 2024 to 2030 strategy developed alongside the Qatar National Manufacturing Strategy, focused on economic diversification and manufacturing, as Wikipedia describes it.

In 2022 the ministry joined Qatar Development Bank and the Centre for the Fourth Industrial Revolution in a partnership that created AMHUB, a roundtable platform, TechScoop reported. On 30 September 2026 Qatar Development Bank announced MANARAT, an advanced manufacturing hub with 16 ready-built factory units in the New Industrial Area, in partnership with the ministry and the Centre for the Fourth Industrial Revolution, according to Qatar News Agency. Abdulla Ghanim Al Maadeed, director of the ministry's Industrial Development Department, said the ministry aims to speed up industrial digitalisation and to encourage automation, artificial intelligence and digital tools in factories. Qatar News Agency also reported cumulative industrial investment of QR 248.44 billion in the second quarter of 2026.
