About ليتشي
Lychee is an Egyptian healthy food and beverage brand. Its website sells Greek yogurt, juices and smoothies, including pasteurised juice, juice shots and protein shakes, as well as warm bowls, salads and wraps, fresh fruit and vegetables, and groceries such as peanut butter and granola. It sells through its own branches, which its branches page places across Cairo and Giza, the North Coast and El Gouna, and through delivery.
Lychee's about page says the business began on 31 December 2012 with a blender and the aim of making healthy eating a lifestyle, and that it has since grown by running its own production lines. Cairoscene reported in December 2023 that Mohamed Assy founded the company in Cairo in 2012 and is its founder and chief executive. The page describes a dairy line with an output of three tons an hour, an automated fresh juice line, a production area of more than 1,000 square metres and five warehouses totalling more than 1,500 square metres.
Lychee has announced a move into Saudi Arabia. In December 2023 Assy told Cairoscene that the plan had been four years in preparation and that the first Saudi branch was due in 2024. In June 2026 Wamda reported that Lychee will open three stores in Riyadh, which together with two planned by the home furnishings brand ariika make five. Assy said the company had spent considerable time studying Saudi consumers before committing and intends to lead the healthy food and beverage category in the Kingdom.
Beltone Venture Capital, the venture arm of Beltone Holding, is Lychee's named investor. Cairoscene identified it as an investor in December 2023 without giving an amount, and in June 2026 Beltone said it had increased its investment in Lychee and ariika, again without disclosing amounts.
A food safety certificate linked from Lychee's website names YAZ for Managing Restaurants (Lychee) as the registered entity and a New Cairo factory as the site. It covers fresh juice production under ISO 22000:2005 and shows a 2019 issue date and validity dates ending in 2021. Lychee has not disclosed revenue.
