About ليفا
Liva is an insurance brand sold in several Gulf markets. Its Bahrain website describes a multi-line insurer offering motor, home, travel, medical and personal accident cover for individuals, with a range of covers for businesses. The site says Liva is the new brand formed from Al Ahlia Insurance and National Life and General Insurance Company, known as NLGIC, and that policies renewed or bought after September 2023 are issued under the Liva name while the legal name change was under way.
A November 2024 release describes Liva Group as an insurer with operations in Oman, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait and Bahrain, about 1,200 employees and more than 1.5 million customers. It lists two wholly owned subsidiaries: NSSPL in India and Inayah TPA in the UAE. The same release names Martin Ruegg as group chief executive. In Saudi Arabia, the company previously called Al Alamiya for Cooperative Insurance Company changed its commercial name to Liva Insurance Company effective 7 November 2023, according to its Saudi website.
On 12 November 2024 Salik, the exclusive toll gate operator of Dubai, announced a partnership with Liva to offer motor insurance renewals to drivers in the UAE. Under the arrangement Salik sends reminders that link to a portal managed by Liva, with the service due to start at the end of that month. Liva's UAE website lists car, home, travel, personal accident, health and golf insurance, and says motor cover can extend to Oman.
In August 2026 TechScoop listed Liva among the motor insurers available through Soor, a Bahrain insurance comparison app.
