iQ Cars is an online car marketplace in Iraq where private sellers and dealerships list vehicles for sale. Its platform lets users search listings across the country, compare models, read buying guides, sell a car and buy detailed vehicle reports.
Wamda reported that Amer Salih founded the company in 2020. In April 2025 the company said it operated in five major Iraqi cities, with users across the country, and described itself as the first startup in Iraq registered as a private joint stock company.
At the time of its April 2025 funding announcement, iQ Cars reported more than 34,000 listings from private sellers, more than 1,000 dealerships and a community of 420,000 members. It also reported that its revenue rose 108 percent in 2024 and that lead generation for car sellers grew by more than 115 percent, mostly through organic adoption. These figures come from the company's own press release and were not independently verified.
On 30 April 2025 iQ Cars announced a seven-figure seed round led by Euphrates Ventures, without disclosing the exact amount. Wamda and Iraq Tech, which published the news on 5 May 2025, say the funds are meant for new tools and business lines and for expansion across Iraq. No later funding, acquisitions or partnerships were found.
