Innovation City is a technology-focused free zone in the emirate of Ras Al Khaimah, in the United Arab Emirates. It was relaunched in 2025 under that name from RAK Digital Assets Oasis, the free zone that Ras Al Khaimah announced in February 2023 as a registration authority for digital and virtual asset businesses. According to Gulf Business, the relaunch positioned the zone as a hub for technology and innovation companies, with an initial focus on five sectors: Web3 and digital assets, artificial intelligence, gaming and iGaming, robotics, and healthtech and digital health. The zone also plans to develop prime land in Ras Al Khaimah with infrastructure tailored to technology companies. Paul Dawalibi is the chief executive officer. Khaleej Times has described the zone as the world's first AI-powered free zone, and Dawalibi has said artificial intelligence already supports key operations, with automation to be extended to more services, including digital assistants to help entrepreneurs set up and manage businesses. Entrepreneur Middle East reports that the zone aims to reduce friction for founders through streamlined AI-driven licensing, a founder-focused community and strategic support. Khaleej Times reports that Sheikh Mohammed bin Humaid Al Qasimi chairs Innovation City. Infrastructure is part of the offer. Innovation City and Siada, the enterprise unit of IOPn, launched what they describe as the UAE's first sovereign AI data centre inside a free zone, in Ras Al Khaimah. It runs NVIDIA B200 GPUs, which companies can rent by the hour, reserve for longer periods or deploy on-premises, with computing kept in the UAE, according to DataCentreNews. In July 2026, Khaleej Times and Zawya reported that the UK computer maker Chillblast would set up its GCC regional base in the zone, assembling AI, gaming and professional systems under a Made in Innovation City mark.
