About آي بي فنتشرز
IB Ventures, also referred to as Innovation Booster or Integrated Bio, is a venture capital firm based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, that invests in early-stage biotechnology companies. It officially launched in October 2025 with a USD 50 million fund, which Mubasher, Bridge Middle East and Enterprise reported as the first dedicated biotech venture fund in the Kingdom. The firm's stated areas of focus are therapeutics, diagnostics, digital biology and biomanufacturing. Alongside the fund, it plans to run an incubator and accelerator that supports business development, commercialisation, scale-up and exit. Bridge Middle East reported that IB Ventures has offices in Switzerland and the United States, with the aim of attracting international biotech companies to the Kingdom; another source describes those offices as planned. The launch ties into Saudi Vision 2030 and the National Biotechnology Strategy. Bioxconomy noted the Kingdom's goal of raising pharmaceutical exports from about USD 1.5 billion to USD 5 billion by 2030. The founding team is reported to include Dr. Hamad Al Omar and Dr. Yazeed Al Sufyani, described as combining expertise in biotechnology, venture capital, medical research and operations. Mubasher reported that General Partners Faisal Al-Abdulsalam, Hamad Al-Omar, Yazeed Alsufyani and Mohammed Alangari attended the launch ceremony, and a BIO-Europe speaker listing identifies Yazeed Alsufyani as General Partner and CEO. Its first publicly reported investment was in Kure Cells, a company developing CAR-T and other cellular immunotherapies for cancer and autoimmune disease. IB Ventures joined as co-investor in a USD 10 million Pre-A round led by Wa'ed Ventures, the venture arm of Saudi Aramco, announced at the Future Investment Initiative in Riyadh in 2025.
