About هنقرستيشن
HungerStation is a Saudi delivery app for restaurant meals, groceries, pharmacy items, flowers and gifts. Its website lists more than 65,000 restaurants and names Riyadh, Al-Khobar, Dammam, Jeddah and Makkah among the cities it serves. HungerStation Market delivers daily essentials in about 20 minutes, and the HungerStation Plus subscription offers free delivery and discounts.
HungerStation was founded in Dammam in 2012 by Ebrahim Al-Jassim and Hossein Bukhamseen and was described in 2016 as one of the first online food ordering portals in the region. At that time FoodNavigator reported that it was available in more than 30 Saudi cities.
In August 2016 HungerStation merged with the Saudi business of Foodpanda's Hellofood, with Foodpanda taking a majority stake and both brands continuing to operate. Delivery Hero later acquired Foodpanda, bringing HungerStation into its portfolio. In July 2023 Delivery Hero bought the remaining 37 percent of HungerStation Holding Limited, the sole shareholder of the Saudi operating company, for $297 million, according to Wamda, making HungerStation wholly owned. Wamda also reported that revenue for fiscal 2022 rose 36 percent to 609 million euros, with positive earnings before interest and tax above 50 million euros including group costs.
Ali Aldamanhori became chief executive in 2024 after almost two years as chief operating officer. He joined Delivery Hero in 2019 to lead logistics and quick commerce for the Middle East and North Africa.
In July 2026 Arab News, citing Momentum Works, reported that HungerStation held about 40 percent of Saudi food delivery at the end of 2025, ahead of Keeta at about 33 percent and Jahez at more than 20 percent. Delivery Hero said subscribers accounted for more than 60 percent of order value in key Saudi segments. Delivery Hero's management has recommended a takeover of the group by Uber, which would bring HungerStation under Uber once the deal closes, expected in the second half of 2027. In June 2026 Mubasher, citing the Financial Times, reported early-stage interest from Ninja in buying HungerStation, with no decision made.
