About إكزيتس مينا
Exits MENA is a Cairo-based advisory and investment platform for startups and small and medium-sized enterprises in the Middle East and North Africa. Its website describes it as a boutique investment bank and advisory platform that connects businesses with buyers and investors for mergers, acquisitions and fundraising, and says it is not an incubator, accelerator or direct investor.
Wamda reported in 2023 that Mohamed Aboul Naga, Ahella El Saban and Ayman El Tanbouly founded the company in 2022, with Aboul Naga as chairman. In 2023 Wamda also reported that it had received a securities promotion and underwriting licence from Egypt's Financial Regulatory Authority, allowing it to advise on listings on the Egyptian Exchange and the Nilex SME market.
Its advisory services cover financial advisory, management consultancy, valuations, transactional advisory and capital restructuring. The website also lists a Service Hub for investment preparation, a Sellers Marketplace of businesses for sale, a self-study programme called Naqla, the Xmatch Demo Day and the Innovation Blueprint webinar series with Raya FutureTECH and GIZ. It names Morni among its clients and said it had advised Morni on a planned investment in Egypt. In July 2024 Daba Finance reported a joint venture in Saudi Arabia with investors led by Ammar Ahmed Shata, who is to chair it.
Exits MENA raised USD 1 million in a pre-seed round in 2022. In July 2023 it announced an investment from Practical VC and said it had raised USD 1.25 million in total; the new amount was not disclosed. Launchbase Africa describes it as a subsidiary of the holding company PIE.
On 18 August 2026 Exits MENA announced a full acquisition of Avanz Capital Egypt, signed with that firm's local management in a multi-seven-figure deal. Initial approval has come from Egypt's Financial Regulatory Authority; final approval is still required. Avanz is to become Exits Manara, the group's private capital and asset management subsidiary, moving Exits MENA from advisory into asset management.
