About ديب تيون

Deeptune builds simulated workplace environments, which it describes as training gyms, where AI agents practise tasks in software such as Excel, Salesforce and Slack. The environments are used to train and evaluate models for AI labs, and Fortune reported that the company had built hundreds of them. According to SiliconANGLE and other coverage it was founded in 2025 by Tim Lupo, who is chief executive, and Lukas Schmit, listed as co-founder and chief technology officer. In March 2026 Deeptune announced a USD 43 million Series A led by Andreessen Horowitz. Mercor chief executive Brendan Foody invested personally in that round, about three months before the acquisition. On 9 July 2026 Mercor, the AI talent platform that connects domain experts with AI labs for model training and data work, announced that it had acquired Deeptune. Mercor described it as its first major acquisition and framed it as a way to strengthen its virtual training environments and broaden its offer beyond basic data labelling. Coverage said the deal pairs Mercor's network of more than five million experts with Deeptune's simulation platform. The Deeptune team is joining Mercor's New York office. Financial terms were not disclosed.
