About دفتر للتقنية
Daftar Technologies operates DaftarPay, a Saudi buy now, pay later service. Its terms of service name the legal entity as شركة تقنيات دفتر, and its privacy policy gives a Riyadh address. DaftarPay is a wallet-based credit product that customers can use online or in stores by scanning a QR code, and its website says more than 50 partner stores accept it, from grocery stores to furniture shops.
Customers can choose Daftar One, which collects the full amount on the 27th of the following month with no fees or interest, or Daftar Flex, which splits a purchase into two to six monthly instalments without interest. The website says credit limits depend on factors such as creditworthiness, income and repayment history, that merchants are paid within five business days of collection and pay a commission per transaction with no setup or subscription fee, and that an independent Shariah board has reviewed the model.
On 6 July 2026 the Saudi Central Bank licensed Daftar Technologies to provide buy now, pay later services, which Arab News reported brought the number of finance companies it has authorised to 76. TechScoop noted that the company had disclosed no backers or go-to-market plan. Sources disagree on when it was founded, and the pages read name no founders or executives.
