About كوينبيس
Coinbase Global, Inc. runs a cryptocurrency trading, custody and infrastructure business. Its annual report for 2025 describes it as remote-first with no headquarters and lists Texas as its state of incorporation. It reported 4,951 employees at the end of 2025.
Wikipedia records that Brian Armstrong and Fred Ehrsam founded Coinbase in San Francisco in June 2012 and that it became a public company on 14 April 2021 through a direct listing on Nasdaq under the ticker COIN. The certifications in the annual report filed on 12 February 2026 show Armstrong as chief executive and Alesia Haas as chief financial officer. Wikipedia names Emilie Choi as president and chief operating officer.
The annual report describes a group that includes Coinbase Custody Trust Company, a New York limited-purpose trust company, Coinbase Derivatives, a CFTC-regulated designated contract market, and Coinbase Capital Markets, an SEC-registered broker-dealer. It also describes Base Chain, a layer-2 blockchain, and the Base App, formerly Coinbase Wallet. Coinbase buys the USDC stablecoin from Circle and sells it to customers.
The filing lists licences or registrations in eleven jurisdictions, including Singapore, Bermuda, Luxembourg and Canada. It also says Deribit FZE holds a conditional virtual asset service provider licence from Dubai's VARA. Coinbase completed its acquisition of Deribit, a Dubai-based derivatives exchange, in August 2025; Wikipedia says the deal was announced on 8 May 2025 for 700 million dollars in cash and 2.2 billion dollars in Coinbase stock.
In August 2026 the law firm Morgan Lewis said Coinbase had received licences and approvals from the Financial Services Regulatory Authority of Abu Dhabi Global Market for an international tokenisation hub. TechScoop reported on 28 July 2026 that Base was one of three blockchains on which Mubadala Capital launched a tokenised private markets fund on 23 July 2026, and that Coinbase took direct exposure to the fund on its own balance sheet.
For 2025 the annual report shows net revenue of about 6.9 billion dollars, up from 6.3 billion in 2024, and net income of 1.26 billion dollars, down from 2.58 billion.
