Its website lists air conditioners, mobiles and tablets, small and large home appliances, TVs and projectors, laptops and PC accessories, wearables, personal care tools, gaming and audio equipment, and a Tech Care category. Its footer lists mylo, Valu, Souhoola, Contact, Aman and Halan among the financing options shoppers can use.

Mahmoud Khattab is the founder, chairman and chief executive. In a November 2023 interview with Enterprise he said he joined the family business, Olympic Electric, while at university, and launched Olympic Stores, an organised retail chain for home appliances, in 1997. The chain was rebranded B.TECH in 2001. He said he had held the chairman and chief executive roles for 26 years, that B.TECH operates in retail, consumer finance, technology and logistics, and that any branch is about 15 minutes from any client in Cairo and Alexandria.

B.TECH Business is its arm for corporate and institutional customers. At its launch, B.TECH described it as a single source combining devices, equipment and technology solutions, aimed at healthcare, real estate development, industry, hospitality, construction, banking, education and retail.

B.TECH's consumer finance business operates as mylo, a fintech subsidiary that B.TECH says was born out of the retailer. mylo completed an EGP 1.76 billion securitization bond issuance in January 2026 and signed a credit life insurance programme with AXA Egypt in September 2026.

B.TECH itself finances receivables through securitization. Commercial International Bank reported closing an EGP 1.307 billion issuance for B.TECH in mid-April 2026, in a report published on 28 April 2026. It is a single tranche with a 12-month maturity and the third phase of B.TECH's 14th securitization programme, whose total envelope is EGP 10 billion over two years. MERIS assigned it a P1 rating, and funds managed by CI Asset Management and Arab African Investment Management took part. The sources read give no revenue, profit, ownership or equity funding figures for B.TECH.
