About BCG

BCG, formally Boston Consulting Group, is a management consulting firm. Its website says it has offices in more than 100 cities across more than 50 countries and about 33,500 employees. Its 2026 revenue announcement carries a Boston dateline.

The firm was founded in 1963, and its history page shows founder Bruce Henderson as chief executive from 1963 to 1980. Henderson introduced Perspectives, brief essays on strategy, in 1964, and the growth share matrix was created in 1968. Christoph Schweizer is chief executive. He joined BCG in 1997, is based in Munich and previously served as the firm's chair for Central and Eastern Europe and the Middle East. His BCG profile lists an MBA from the University of Texas at Austin and a degree from WHU Koblenz, and says that under his leadership the firm launched BCG X, its technology build and design unit.

BCG's press release of 23 April 2026 reports revenue of 14.4 billion US dollars for 2025, up 7 percent from 13.5 billion dollars in 2024 and the firm's 22nd consecutive year of growth, with growth in all regions. It reports 33,500 employees at the end of 2025. It says technology- and AI-focused services now account for more than 40 percent of revenue and that AI services grew 25 percent year on year. The release names Auto AI, Retail AI and Deep Customer Engagement AI as platforms delivered through BCG X, mentions the BCG X AI Science Institute launched in 2025, and names IBM, Reckitt and Foxconn as clients. BCG states that it is among the first 100 organisations globally, and the only premium consulting firm, certified to ISO/IEC 42001 for AI management systems.

In the Gulf, BCG's Riyadh page says the office was established in 2015 and sits in Tadawul Tower; the firm also lists offices in Abu Dhabi, Doha and Dubai. Philippe Cornette de Saint Cyr is listed as the Riyadh office lead.

TechScoop mentions BCG only because executives tied to the firm were among the angel investors in Velents' October 2025 round.
