Artal Capital is a Saudi investment management firm with its main office in Riyadh. It is a Capital Market Institution licensed by the Saudi Capital Market Authority and invests in public and private markets. Argaam reported in April 2024 that it had assets under management of more than 2.5 billion riyals, a figure from the firm's own announcement.
Rayan Alrasheed is chief executive. In February 2024 he signed an agreement in Riyadh with Bandr Alhomaly, chief executive of Jada Fund of Funds Company, for Jada to invest in the Artal Growth Opportunities Fund. Wassim Moukahhal is head of alternative investments.
The Artal Growth Opportunities Fund is a closed-ended private equity fund regulated by the Capital Market Authority, with a target size of 500 million riyals. It targets technology-enabled growth companies in Saudi Arabia and the wider Gulf, planning eight to ten investments with an average ticket of 10 to 20 million dollars. On 22 April 2024 Artal announced a first close, without disclosing the amount, with Jada as a cornerstone investor alongside institutions, family offices and individuals. The fund's first investment was FlyAkeed.
On the public markets side, Mubasher reported that the Capital Market Authority approved the public offering of the Artal Saudi Equity Free Style Fund, offered by Artal Capital, on 6 January 2025. Mubasher says the firm manages public and private equities, fixed income, money market and multi-asset portfolios.
In October 2026 Artal led a 12 million dollar Series A in Autobia, a Saudi business-to-business auto parts marketplace, with AlJazira Capital and Wa'ed Ventures also taking part. Moukahhal said the firm wanted to back a model combining software, delivery and finance.
