About أماني

Amaani is a consumer company headquartered in Dubai and founded in 2023 by Shubham Poddar, who is its chief executive. It owns AÏZA, a skincare and haircare brand. Before founding the company he invested for Sequoia Capital India, where he helped expand the firm's Middle East activity across fintech, foodtech and proptech.

AÏZA describes itself as a clean luxury brand inspired by Arab beauty heritage. Its products draw on dates, black seed, frankincense, rose and bakhoor, and its formulations are developed with laboratories in Korea, Japan and Italy. TechScoop counted a range of 13 products priced at roughly USD 30 to 70, including a lip treatment, a hair mist and a brow and lash serum. It is described as vegan, cruelty-free and aligned with Clean at Sephora standards. Coverage dates the brand's soft launch to December 2024 and its online launch to May 2025.

AÏZA is sold through its own website, the luxury platform Ounass and Ulta Beauty in the UAE, where it entered in January 2026. Amaani says the brand ranks in the top 10 of more than 300 brands at Ulta UAE, and TechScoop reported that retail accounts for about 30 percent of sales. Saudi Arabia is the priority market, with AÏZA due in Ulta Beauty stores at Red Sea Mall in Jeddah and Riyadh Park in Riyadh at the end of September 2026. Kuwait and Qatar are planned for the fourth quarter.

Peak XV's Surge led a USD 3 million seed round in September 2025, described as its first consumer and seed investment in the Middle East and North Africa. On 28 September 2026 Amaani announced a USD 5 million Series A led by BECO Capital, with Homegrown Ventures and Surge taking part. Total funding is USD 8 million, and no valuation was disclosed. The money is for expansion across the Gulf Cooperation Council countries, product, hiring and technology.

Amaani reported that AÏZA's net revenue grew more than ninefold year on year in the first half of 2026. The figure is unaudited and comes from a small base.
