The site is available in Arabic and English, and the sample listings it shows are in Damascus and the surrounding countryside.

Wamda and WAYA report that Ayham Ksayer founded the company in 2020. The marketplace serves business-to-business, business-to-consumer and consumer-to-consumer transactions and targets real estate developers, car dealerships and vehicle rental companies as business accounts, alongside individual users. The about page on its website describes the team as marketing and technology specialists who want to make searching for ads simpler and more effective. The website gives no head office address or founding date.

Wamda reported on 13 July 2026 that AlMkhtar had closed a $100,000 seed round led by the angel investors Rani Abu-Shaar and Abdulah Al-Shamma. Wamda cited Riyada+ for the participation of several additional angel investors, who were not named. The coverage does not state a valuation.

According to Wamda and WAYA, the funding is to support expansion across Damascus and its suburbs, improvements to the platform's product and technology, new features to improve the user experience, growth of the customer base and the onboarding of dealerships, rental companies and developers as business accounts. Wamda said the round reflects growing investor confidence in Syria's emerging digital entrepreneurship ecosystem. User numbers, revenue and growth rates have not been disclosed in the articles read.
