Nabt secures USD 3.4M to reinvent Saudi Arabia’s Fresh-Produce supply chain

Saudi agritech startup Nabt has raised USD 3.4M in a seed extension round to expand its fresh-produce logistics and B2B marketplace infrastructure, following its earlier USD 1.5M funding backed by Merak Capital and documented across multiple regional sources.

Nabt, the Riyadh based agritech startup focused on building physical and digital infrastructure for fresh produce, has raised USD 3.4 million in a seed extension round, according to details shared by the company. The announcement follows Nabt’s previously reported USD 1.5 million seed round in late 2024, which was led by Merak Capital and publicly disclosed through coverage on Zawya in its report titled “Nabt Saudi Agritech Startup Closes a SAR 5.63mln Seed Round Led by Merak Capital,” available at zawya.com.

Founded in 2022, Nabt operates a B2B produce marketplace that connects farmers directly with buyers such as supermarkets, hotels, restaurants, catering operations and food distributors. Earlier reporting by Wamda, accessible at wamda.com, described the platform as enabling direct farm to business transactions while supporting transparency in sourcing and ordering. Additional confirmation of the 2024 funding and product focus appears in regional agritech coverage via Agritech MEA at agritechmea.com.

The company is also a participant in the Sunbolah FoodTech Accelerator, administered by the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture (MEWA), with the program’s involvement referenced in reporting from Zawya at zawya.com. Nabt says the new capital will support cold chain infrastructure expansion, supplier onboarding systems, improved traceability tools for growers, and integrations for enterprise procurement on the buyer side.

Sector wide data points indicate broader growth in Saudi’s innovation economy. According to a five-year funding analysis reported by sharikatmubasher.com, Saudi startups secured more than USD 3.86 billion between 2020 and 2024, representing 32% of total MENA startup funding.
