The Future Investment Initiative (FII) Institute is gearing up for its 9th Edition, taking place from October 27–30, 2025, under the theme “The Key To Prosperity: Unlocking New Frontiers Of Growth.” The global non-profit foundation, headquartered in Riyadh, continues to bridge the worlds of capital, policy, and innovation — bringing together heads of state, CEOs, investors, scientists, and changemakers to shape the future of the global economy.
Founded with the mission to create Impact on Humanity, the FII Institute operates around three core pillars — Think, Xchange, and Act — designed to move bold ideas from discussion to real-world implementation. The organization focuses on four key domains: AI and Robotics, Education, Healthcare, and Sustainability — areas that represent both pressing global challenges and transformative opportunities.
The upcoming FII9 conference is expected to explore how artificial intelligence, biotechnology, and climate innovation can reshape economies and societies. Central themes include investment meets innovation, with an emphasis on channeling capital into frontier technologies responsibly; inclusion in the AI era, ensuring equitable access to emerging tools; and sustainability as a growth engine, focusing on how climate action and profitability can coexist.
Last year’s FII8, held in Riyadh from October 29–31, 2024, saw over 6,000 participants and featured some of the world’s most influential leaders — including Laurence D. Fink (CEO, BlackRock), Shou Zi Chew (CEO, TikTok), Jane Fraser (CEO, Citi), Stéphane Bancel (CEO, Moderna), Kenneth Griffin (Founder & CEO, Citadel), Ruth Porat (President & CIO, Alphabet), Travis Kalanick (CEO, CloudKitchens), and Dr. Eric Schmidt (former CEO, Google). Discussions spanned investment, sustainability, and AI ethics, while roundtables brought together global policymakers, tech founders, and institutional investors. See the full FII8 speaker list.
The outcomes from FII8 were record-breaking — over US$70 billion in investment commitments were announced across sectors including energy, AI, and sustainable infrastructure. The Investment Day segment spotlighted emerging startups such as Oxccu, Sakuu, Archireef, and Bytelearn, with Sakuu named the FII Innovator 2024. The event also unveiled major collaborations, including PIF’s partnership with Google Cloud to establish an advanced AI hub in Saudi Arabia. Additionally, the FII Priority Compass 2024, a global survey across 24 countries, revealed growing public concern over inflation, job insecurity, and access to healthcare — setting the tone for the upcoming FII9 conversations.
Beyond its annual summit, the Institute continues to expand its global influence through FII Institute TV, which brings insights, interviews, and behind-the-scenes content to a worldwide audience. This year, more than 600 speakers and 20 heads of state are expected to attend, underscoring the Institute’s growing role as a platform for cross-border collaboration.
As the world faces converging challenges — climate urgency, technological disruption, and economic inequality — FII9 is poised to be a bridge between global capital and innovation ecosystems. Its success will hinge on turning high-level dialogue into measurable outcomes that shape industries and societies alike.
